Cheerios Circle of Helping Hearts Giveaway



When I was growing up I thought heart disease was a problem for middle aged men only. Coronary heart disease is actually the number one cause of death for women. High cholesterol is one of the controllable factors, but a recent study found that more than one-third of adults have not had their cholesterol checked within the past year! Those without the means for adequate healthcare may not get theirs screened regularly and are at an even greater risk of heart disease.

Would you like to help? Cheerios in partnership with WomenHeart, will donate $1 (up to $200,000) for every code entered at www.cheerioshelpinghearts.com, from now through January 31, 2010! This money will be used to raise awareness for heart disease and provide free cholesterol screenings for women in need. You can find your codes inside specially marked boxes of Cheerios cereal.

This is an easy way to give, I mean you know you are buying Cheerios anyway right!



Cheerios has been kind enough to offer to THREE Mommyhood is Thankless readers a freshwater pearl bracelet with a heart charm from Charity Charms, which donates a portion of the proceeds from its charms to various charities! This is a perfect way to show your dedication to raising awareness of womens heart health!

  92. We've always eaten Cheerios in our house. I personally add a half banana to them. We are eating much healthier for our heart-health and the biggest change is that I don't even go down the "Frozen Foods" aisle at our grocery store any more. If I can't cook "fresh"...it's just not happening!

I do Yoga at least 4-5 times per week, I jog at least 3-4 times per week, I am an avid downhill skier, and in the summer months I cycle, waterski, sail, boat, swim, all to keep healthy and fit.   140. to keep a healthy heart, i try not to eat a lot of red meat. I also am getting back in the habit of exercising by riding my bike. it's hard to stay motivated but my hubby has heart probs with cholestrol so i stick with it.

  145. I eat things with oats like cereal& oatmeal because it reduces my cholestrol!
    I take 4-6 asprins a day + blood pressure meds.
    I started eating yogurt 3 times a day & walking.
